RESTminster: An Open Letter to Government
Highgrove Beds calls on Westminster to put Britain’s sleepless culture to bed
After all, running Britain is hard enough without doing it exhausted.
That’s why Highgrove Beds is stepping forward as the Government’s unofficial sleep sponsor, using RESTminster to make a serious point without taking ourselves too seriously.
Better rest matters. Running on empty shouldn’t be something to boast about, and perhaps it’s time for Westminster to help set the example.
So, Westminster: how do you sleep?
Consider this our invitation to put Britain’s sleepless culture to bed and help us turn WESTminster into RESTminster.

RESTminster Britain is tired. We’re asking whether sleeplessness should still be treated as a badge of honour — especially by those making some of the country’s biggest decisions. Better rest matters. Running on empty shouldn’t be something to boast about. |
An open letter from Highgrove Beds
Dear Westminster,
Britain is tired.
We’ve built a culture where being constantly busy, getting too little sleep and pushing through exhaustion can all too easily be worn as a badge of honour.
But when the decisions being made affect millions of people, perhaps sleep deserves a little more respect.
At Highgrove Beds, we spend our days thinking about what helps people rest better. So while we may not be able to solve everything keeping Westminster awake at night, we can at least start a conversation about the importance of switching off.
RESTminster is our invitation to Government to take sleep seriously.
Not as a luxury. Not as something to squeeze in when everything else is finished. But as part of performing at your best, thinking clearly and facing the day properly rested.
That’s why we’re putting ourselves forward as the Government’s unofficial sleep sponsor.
Because however busy the diary, however long the debate and however early the morning briefing, everyone deserves a good night’s sleep.
So our message to Westminster is simple:
Put the late nights to bed.
Stop celebrating running on empty.
And give rest the importance it deserves.
Britain could do with a better night’s sleep.
Perhaps it’s time to start at the top.
Sleep well, Westminster.

From WESTminster to RESTminster
RESTminster is part of Highgrove Beds’ wider campaign to get Britain talking about the importance of sleep and challenge the idea that exhaustion should be treated as a sign of hard work or success.
Because a better day starts with a better night’s sleep.
